The Eddie & Ozzie Awards is the most prestigious recognition program in the publishing community, recognizing excellence in editorial content and design across print and digital media around the globe. From print issues to digital magazines, news coverage, and blogs, to the latest podcasts, there is a home for you in the Eddie & Ozzie Awards.
The Eddie & Ozzie Awards, are recognized industry-wide, receiving applications in the thousands annually from publications around the globe.
Categories range in topics from articles, essays, and full-issue magazines, to blogs, podcasts, and video content, to cover design, graphic design, illustration, photography, and more. New this year, find the award for Best New Podcast, with expanded individual podcast categories to enter.
From small independents to the largest brands in the business, there are opportunities for organizations of all sizes to stand out.

The Eddie Awards honor examples of exceptional editorial excellence. We continue to turn up the spotlight on the uncompromising journalism being produced by the dynamic publishing community, awarding those best serving their audiences with outstanding engaging content.
The Ozzie Awards honor cut-above-the-rest examples of design excellence. From traditional magazine media to digital design, categories offer a chance to shine a spotlight on the elegant and engaging designs being produced across all platforms where audiences are consuming and engaging with content.
Special Recognition will be awarded to individuals, teams and brands achieving overall excellence in content and design, recognized for leading their organization to achieve success. They include Editor of the Year, Art Director of the Year, Product Team of the Year, Design Team of the Year, the Momentum Awards, and more.
Use the following guidelines to classify your publication for the Folio: Eddie and Ozzie Awards. You will use these designations when selecting your sub-category to ensure that your entry is competing against entries that are similar to yours.
ASSOCIATION/NON-PROFIT
Any publication, magazine, website or brand that serves the audience of a membership organization or non-profit community. If you work for an association, society, university, council or any other non-profit or not-for-profit organization, this is the classification for you. Examples: IEEE Spectrum, HR Magazine, American Rifleman, AARP, Dartmouth Alumni Magazine
B2B
Any publication, magazine, website or brand that serves a specific and sole industry or business community. Examples: PoliceOne, Architectural Record, Hospitality Design Magazine, Pragmatic Marketer
CITY & REGIONAL
Any publication, magazine, website or brand that serves a specific city or geographic region. Examples: Cape Code Life, Baltimore Magazine, Indulge Miami, D Media Partners, Adirondack Weddings
CONSUMER
Any publication, magazine, website or brand intended for general consumers or target demographic within a general consumer audience. Examples: Scientific American, PEOPLE, Yoga Journal, WebMD, Refinery29,
CUSTOM/CONTENT MARKETING
Any magazine or publication contracted by an external client targeting an audience determined by that client intended to serve a content marketing function. Examples: Delta Sky, Merrill Lynch Advisor, The Ritz-Carlton Magazine, Mercedes-Benz Magazine
All publications and websites are eligible—association/non-profit, b2b, city & regional, consumer and custom/content marketing publications. The competition is organized so that brands compete within a group of their peers. The Eddies are categorized by topic/market, and the Ozzies are categorized by publication type and readership size. Any content published between May 1, 2022 and May 18, 2023 is eligible.

$300 for your first entry, $270 for each additional entry through March 9, 2023.
First entry fees for both the Eddies and Ozzies increase to $350 March 10 through May 18, 2023.
*$75 Late fee applies to all entries submitted after May 18, 2023 through May 22, 2023.

Entries are judged by an independent panel of media executives, as well as by the Eddie & Ozzie staff. We evaluate your entry based on creativity and innovation. Our most important criterion is proven success in aligning your brand’s mission with the end product.
Your mission statement/editorial statement of purpose should be a brief statement that tells our judges a little bit about your publication, the audience you serve and how your team goes about serving that audience.
